Update: Deputies Unveil Details Surrounding Woman’s Mysterious Kidnapping and Murder
DEBARYLIFE – More consequences concerning the enigmatic abduction and murder of a lady were disclosed by deputies on Friday. The death of 31-year-old Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas has not yet been charged, but authorities are keeping a watch on a man who may have been connected to the suspect car and who may have worn the same mask and clothing as the armed suspect. A tow truck driver’s murder, in which over 100 shots were fired, is also connected to that suspicious car.
The driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Jordanish Torres-Garcia, is being held in the Seminole County jail in Florida for violating his federal probation relating to a cocaine case.
It is thought that the second man, who has also been taken into custody, spoke with Guerrero on her ill-fated journey from the Miami-Dade County city of Homestead to Seminole County.
While his girlfriend, Monicsabel Romero Soto, 27, is being held in Seminole County jail on a related charge, that man, Giovany Joel Crespo Hernandez, 27, is wanted on drug-related charges.
To clarify, Guerrero’s death is not connected to any charges. Dennis Lemma, the sheriff for Seminole County, expressed skepticism about Torres-Garcia but did not accuse Hernandez or Soto of homicidal activity. He revealed in a news conference on Friday that the 28-year-old’s phone number corresponded with one of the buyer of the green Acura some time ago.
Deputies posted on Facebook that Torres-Garcia was linked to the green Acura that was utilized in the crime, according to their investigation. Further, Torres-Garcia’s Facebook profile photo had him dressed similarly to the culprit in the carjacking video, including a mask.
On April 11, deputies reported that Katherine Guerrero, a resident of the city in Miami-Dade County, traveled up to Seminole County. A green Acura started crashing into the rear of the white Dodge Durango she was driving at one point.

A masked suspect brandishing a 10mm revolver emerged from the Acura and pushed their way inside the Durango as the cars came to a stop at an intersection. According to authorities, Guerrero was coerced into driving by this person.
An hour and forty-five minutes later, according to deputies, their Osceola County counterparts received a call for assistance about gunshots and a burning car. Guerrero’s body was located at the scene, and although a definitive identification was still pending, they suspected the car to be the Durango.
Lemma said that the Acura that was used in the kidnapping was also connected to another murder. The tow truck driver, Juan Luis Cintron Garcia, 39, was shot and died on April 10 after it was towed back on March 19, according to Lemma. The sheriff stated that a green car was spotted near the scene of the crime. One of the more than 100 bullets fired was a 10mm, the same caliber connected to the Guerrero killing.
Although Lemma made clear that Guerrero’s brother and spouse are not accused of any crimes, she claimed that the men had made contact with a friend from childhood. The Orange County sheriff’s deputy, Francisco Estrella, is the spouse of this acquaintance, the sheriff said.
Lemma claimed that Estrella had abused Florida’s DAVID driver’s license database at their request to check up on the details of a Seminole County officer who had been in touch with them over Guerrero’s abduction.
The sheriff added that after that, he called this detective using a false name while maintaining his first name and acting like an Orange County detective. Estrella was taken into custody when authorities determined that this call was unusual.
Giovany Joel Crespo Hernandez is still wanted, and the search is ongoing.
According to the authorities, they have sufficient grounds to get a search warrant for the house he and Soto shared. There, investigators said, they found money, fentanyl, and a gun (which was not a 10mm and was probably unrelated to the crime) while the couple was away.
Deputies stated that Soto was detained in Osceola County after accepting a controlled delivery of three kilograms of cocaine from Homeland Security Investigations while the search warrant was being carried out.
To locate Hernandez, the sheriff’s office is requesting assistance.
