Usually ‘meek’ Prince Harry is clearly happier on solo trips away from Meghan & ‘dictated speeches’, says royal expert

PRINCE Harry is clearly happier on solo trips away from Meghan Markle, a royal expert has claimed.

TheDuke of Sussex, 40, gave a thumbs up to Canadian football fans as he made another publicappearance without his wife.

The wayward Duke has been undertaking several speaking engagements at awards ceremonies and taking part in charitable panels and summits on his own.

Some commentators see this as the prince doing a “full relaunch” of his charity work and lately his wife Meghan is nowhere to be seen in public.

Sources inCaliforniasay the new “solo Harry” is his own idea.

And broadcaster and royal biographer Hugo Vickers, 72, told The Sun how much happier he seems.

He said: “We’ve seen Prince Harry make several appearances without Meghan recently.

“Of course it’s what he does terribly well when he’s doing things with football, invictus games and sport.

“He’s much better at that frankly than when he’s sort of talking what I might call California speak, which seems to have been dictated to him by Meghan.

“So I commend every time he appears, I must say, and I’m sure he’s very popular.

“It’s a good thing that he does it so whether he’s sort of forging you know some sort of return to the old Harry.”

Mr Vickers also took a swipe at the Duchess of Sussex, 43, alleging Harry appears “meek” with her.

Harry & Meg are ‘DEVASTED Trump won presidency they’re plotting major response’, expert says

He continued: “I do think that when they’re together she seems to be the one who’s sort of moving the dialogue on.

“She seems to be the one with the voice and he seems to be sort of meekly following in her wake.

“And you know he may not like that so much.”

The Sun has approached the Sussexes for comment.

Meghan and Harry are ‘living separate lives’

By Jon Rogers and Summer Raemason

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry are “going their own ways” as they increasingly live “separate lives”,royal experts told The Sun.

Speaking on our first ever Royal Exclusive Live show, Arthur Edwards and Jennie Bond lifted the lid on the power couple’s recent time apart.

Sun legend Arthur revealed how the pair are “doing things separately now” after failing to be spotted together in three weeks.

Meanwhile Ms Bond, a royal correspondent for the last 35 years, also revealed: “Meghanis not popular. She doesn’t want to come back and they are going their own ways, to some extent.”

The pair spoke on our first Royal Exclusive Live show, which you can watchon our YouTube channel.

The event was hosted on Friday night in front of a live audience of more than 100 special guests.

Mr Edwards said: “I don’t think she [Meghan] can come here much. I don’t think people think too much of her.

“I think she’s struggling in popularity in the UK and I think they seem to be doing things separately now.

“She’s got her programme and he’s got his.”

Mr Edwards added: “He comes into Britain now with no fuss.

“He’s come for the Invictus Games, in and out with no fuss, he came for his uncle’s funeral, no fuss.”

Royal commentator Jennie Bond said: “The point is he doesn’t want to come back [into the Royal Family in the UK], I think.

“He regarded it as a trap. He still thinks his father and his brother are trapped and he’s finding his own way. All credit to him.

“I think Meghan has her own independent style and way of life. Yes, it’s not in tune with the people in the UK.

“She’s not popular and I don’t think she wants to come back and therefore they are going their own ways, to an extent.

“But I hope and believe that Harry is very happy in his life.”

Harry was interviewed prior to the first half of a CFL football game at the 111th Grey Cup inVancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday.

He spoke to TSN’s James Duthie as theTorontoArgonauts took on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The surprise guest said: “First Grey Cup. What I’m looking forward to? The game getting started. Let’s go!”

He wore a dark dress shirt and long, black jacket and waved at the crowd before he was quickly escorted away.
