During the horrific LA fires, a news anchor made a devastating statement that left TV viewers in complete amazement.

Matt Gutman of ABC broke heartbreaking personal news while filming outside a house that had been reduced to rubble.

Gutman described how his aunt’s house was destroyed by uncontrollable wildfires while hosting The View.

In the Pacific Palisades, where the fires began and have caused the most damage, the TV anchor led his audience down a lane that was completely destroyed.

Gutman described the extreme destruction that had taken place in the wealthy LA area.

“This is my aunt’s house, and I can feel the heat coming from it,” he added.

Tragically, Gutman disclosed that his aunt, who was fortunately away from home at the time, lost everything when the fire tore through her neighborhood.

The Los Angeles-based television anchor described the devastating human toll that these deadly fires have taken on him.

Gutman talked about how fires that were only 300 yards away from his own house in Los Angeles threatened it but were mercifully extinguished before they could cause any damage.

Like hundreds of thousands of others, I told my family, “We need to get a go bag ready right now,” since my kids were scared, he recounted.

You truly have no idea at this stage, therefore we must have it ready by the door.

“Like so many people in this part of LA, I know multiple people who lost their homes in this fire,” he stated.

Gutman added that it had been “hard for the family” and that his aunt, who lived off Sunset Boulevard, was “struggling.”

Another heartbreaking admission came from Whoopi Goldberg, star of The View, who told Gutman that she formerly lived in the now-destroyed area.

Goldberg was horrified to see the television anchor pointing out the rubble piles where houses used to be.

Additionally, Gutman cautioned that even if the fire on his aunt’s driveway had subsided, there was still a genuine risk of fires raging underground and at the foot of trees.

APOCALYPTIC SCENES

Over 180,000 people have been forced to evacuate due to this uncontrollable fire, and over 10,000 homes have been reduced to ashes.

A fatal mix of hurricane-force winds and extreme dryness has made it difficult for firefighters to extinguish the fires.

Authorities have recorded ten deaths so far, but as the fires spread, it is anticipated that the number could be far higher.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the wildfire began, and five fires are currently tearing through the famous city.

Across the city’s north are the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Kenneth Fire, and Lidia Fire.

A-LIST LOSS

Some of the most costly and sought-after areas in the nation include Malibu and the hard-hit Pacific Palisades.

A-list celebrities, including big-name TV personalities and blockbuster actors, have purchased homes in the region.

Devastating flames have also struck these stars, reducing their cherished residences to heaps of ash and debris.

Paris Hilton, a socialite, disclosed yesterday that the wind-fueled fires had reduced her $8.4 million coastal Malibu home to ash.

Since then, she has returned to the burned remains with emotion, describing her sadness as “truly indescribable.”

She posted on Instagram, “I was in total shock when I first saw the news and couldn’t process it.”

However, it feels like my heart has broken into a million pieces as I stand here and witness it firsthand.

While in Texas filming a Joe Rogan podcast, Mel Gibson disclosed that the fire had destroyed his house.

Supermodel Bella Hadid, who is devastated, disclosed that her childhood house was completely destroyed by fire.

Bella used a sad face emoji as the caption for the sorrowful photo, writing, “Childhood bedroom.”

She also posted another heartbreaking image of the house throughout the day.

At one point, Kylie Jenner rented the Carbon Canyon Estate, a house in Malibu, for over half a million dollars a month.
