Walmart Credit Card Theft! Man Apprehended With Over 27K Stolen Numbers, Affidavit Reveals
Charlotte, North Carolina – In North Carolina last week, a man was taken into custody and charged with stealing over 27,000 credit card details from various Walmart stores throughout the northeast.
Allegations made in a criminal complaint dated April 10th state that Romario Serban “participated in a fraudulent credit card skimming scheme involving 19 Walmart stores, primarily located in New York.”
New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts all had additional stores.
Between July 2, 2023, and July 8, 2023, he is said to have installed skimmer devices in order to steal credit card information.

Walmart Global Investigators claim that during the skimmer’s operation, 2,195 debit card numbers and approximately 27,144 credit card numbers were compromised at the locations.
At least $10,000 worth of suspicious transactions were reportedly made using debit cards alone.
Serban was probably in the country illegally, according to an affidavit.
