Walmart employee leaves work $1m richer after last-minute lottery ticket purchase on planned day off

Even though she wasn’t meant to be working that day, a WALMART employee struck it fortunate after her holiday shift when she won a million-dollar lottery ticket.

When the tail worker stopped by the California Lottery vending machine at the store on her way out of her shift, she was at the right place at the right moment.

Originally, Rebecca Gonzalez was not supposed to work on Labor Day at Walmart in the City of Industry, which is roughly 20 miles east of Los Angeles. However, the shop called her at the last minute.

She informed the California Lottery that she grudgingly consented to perform a little shift on her day off.

Gonzalez stated that they just required me for three hours on Labor Day.

We were going to have a cookout, so it goes without saying that I wanted to be at home with my family.
