Why doesn’t Walmart offer Apple Pay?
Doug McMillon, the CEO of Walmart, explained to Ben Thompson why Apple Pay isn’t available in shops.
While there has been constant discussion about utilizing Apple Pay at the business, McMillon stressed that “We would like to have the customers open our app in the store all the time.”

However, Walmart is definitely in the minority when it comes to not accepting Apple Pay.
The Capital One research revealed shoppers use Apple Pay in 56% of all mobile transactions in-store.

This is an increase of 16.6% on last year.
Capital One analysts forecast there will be more than 75 million shoppers using Apple Pay by 2030.
