Walmart shoppers have final chance to get popular service for 50% off and you don’t need to leave your house

Walmart customers have just a few hours left to benefit from a huge discount on a well-liked service.

Offering a number of advantages to those who sign up, it’s possibly the tail giant’s best deal of the Christmas season.

Walmart said last month that it will be slashing the cost of its membership program, Walmart+, by 50% for a full year.

Walmart+ normally costs $98 a year; therefore, the promotion would only cost $49 until December 2.

Customers who join up before Thanksgiving may take advantage of free shipping with no minimum order quantity, free grocery delivery with a $35 minimum, up to 10 cents off gas fill-ups, a free Paramount+subscription, and early access to Black Friday specials.

Additional benefits include free pet care online and a 25% discount on Burger King merchandise.

There are less than seven hours left in the Walmart+ half-off bargain, so interested consumers need to move quickly.

Furthermore, only chosen candidates can access it.

The promotion states in the fine print that it is “available only to new, expired, monthly, and current Walmart+ trial members.”

This implies that existing Walmart+ members who have already paid their $98 annual fee are no longer eligible.

FEELING LEFT OUT

There were some longtime Walmart+ subscribers who were unhappy with this part of the deal.

Last month, a customer vented on X, saying, “It’s pretty terrible that you wouldn’t provide this to your longtime existing members.”

The retail behemoth was “screwing over” people like them, they claimed, “by not giving them the same price break.”

The customer said, “Ridiculous, don’t you get it?”

They nevertheless said that as a workaround for the deal, a Walmart employee suggested that they terminate their membership and re-sign up.

Even though it would appear to function, the customer declined to do so because they were not eligible for the 50% discount that other loyal members were receiving.

Customers may use their phones to scan items they want while they buy in-store with the Walmart mobile app’s Scan & Go feature.

The app can then create a single barcode for each item once users have scanned and added anything they desire to the cart.

Walmart also made the decision earlier this spring to disable some self-checkout kiosks at specific locations so that Spark Drivers can work quickly and deliver orders to consumers and Walmart+ members can use Scan & Go.

Some frequent customers have not been happy with the change, saying that larger lineups and wait periods have made their shopping experience less enjoyable.

Many people are still angry about Walmart’s decision to forbid a particular payment method.

During holiday shopping at their local Walmart, a consumer recently reported that “only 6 out of 40 checkouts” were available, leading them to permanently boycott the company.
