Washington Commanders injury latest with surprise team of season in huge Eagles blow as star suffers torn ACL
Ahead of the NFC Championship game, the Washington Commanders have been dealt a devastating injury setback.
This weekend, the Commanders will play the Philadelphia Eagles, but they will be missing one of their top offensive linemen.
This season, the Commanders have benefited greatly from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.
From being selected with the second overall pick in 2024 to competing in the NFC Championship in 2025, he has led the club to success.
It is particularly crucial for the Commanders to shield him with strong offensive line play because of how excellent he has been.
Against the Eagles, who have one of the most formidable defensive lines in football, that will be even more apparent.

However, with guard Sam Cosmi out for the Commanders this week, the Eagles will have an easier time getting to Daniels.
When Washington defeated the Detroit Lions in the divisional playoffs, Cosmi tore his ACL.
He will probably miss at least the beginning of the 2025 season and the whole of the playoffs.
In the NFC Championship game, Trent Scott will take Cosmi’s place at guard.
Despite spending two years with the Commanders, he has only made one start with the squad.
His lack of experience might give the Eagles a significant edge.
After learning of this injury, Commanders supporters expressed their sadness on social media.
“We will miss you, Stud. One supporter remarked, “Come back strong because the team will still be here.”
“This is a significant loss especially against the Eagles’ interior line,” a another fan commented.
“Dude is a stud,” remarked a third admirer.
“That hurts, daaaaaaaam. Next. Man. “Up,” said a fourth admirer.

“I pray for him and his family. That’s terrible. He’ll return more resilient. A fifth supporter exclaimed, “GUYS, GET HIM A RING.”

Magee returned for the Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after missing the final two weeks of the regular season.
