Watch first look of Meghan and Harry’s new Netflix series with ‘grit and glamour’ show to air in weeks
This is the first glimpse of Harry and Meghan’s upcoming Netflix series about the “glamorous” sport of polo.
Netflix released a much-awaited trailer for the documentary, which was created by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on X this evening.
The caption read: “On December 10, Polo, an inside look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of the sport, will be available on Netflix.
“Watch top players from across the world compete in the highly competitive U.S. Open Polo Championship, both on and off the field.
“From executive producersPrince HarryandMeghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Harry said in a statement that the show “reveals the grit behind the glamour” by giving viewers a “unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into the passion and determination” that propel some of the best polo players in the world.

He continued: “We’re proud to showcase the true depth and spirit of the sport – and the intensity of its high-stakes moments.”
According to the trailer, Adolfo Cambiaso, Poroto Cambiaso, Louis Devaleix, Timmy Dutta, Keko Magrini, and Nacho Figueras are among the sportsmen who will be featured in the documentary series.
According to Harry’s close friend Nacho Figueras, “imagine riding a horse at 35 mph while someone is rushing at you at full speed.”
“The adrenaline that goes through your body, it’s addicting,” added fellow athlete Louis Devaleix.
“Polo is a way of life, not just a sport. “Polo, we breathe, eat, and sleep,” Nacho added.
“The best players in the world come to Wellington to compete in the US Open.”
Additionally, a female voiceover clarified what life is like off the field.
“For sure, it’s glamorous, it’s a sexy sport too, dirty, sweaty boys riding,” she quipped.
“This year the big story is a father-son duo will play against each other.”
According to Keko Magrini, another polo player, “there’s a lot of competition, everybody is fighting for themselves.”
Poroto Cambiaso, meanwhile, talked about how fierce it will be to compete against his own father, a legendary figure in the sport.
“I want to win against my dad, I can say that I beat he greatest of the sport,” he stated.
Father Adolfo Cambiaso replies, “I try to beat my son, but I am very proud of him.”
Timmy Dutta, a younger prodigy, spoke to the difficulty of striking a balance between his social life and the commitment necessary for success.
When spectators learned that his father, Tim, is the team’s owner and coach, another dramatic element was added.
“I think it’s healthy to have somewhat of a personal life outside of being an athlete,” Timmy added.
However, when he stated, “Timmy is extremely charming and his looks are what they are, it’s a distraction,” his father revealed tension.
The tensions in their relationship as they train together were further demonstrated in the alluring teaser.
For pro Louis Devaleix, who talks about visiting Argentina twice a week, family ties also seemed tense at times.
“Polo can have a toll on your family, and that’s no secret,” his wife, who is also expecting a child, stated.
The father-son team seemed to be the primary rival.
A woman asserts: “The Cambiasos have a huge target on their back because they always win.”
As part of their rumored multimillion-pound agreement with Netflix, the Sussexes’ Archewell Productions has produced the series.
Heart of Invictus, Live To Lead, and Harry & Meghan are the three series that the couple has already launched.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry s Netflix shows won t work
Written by Becky Pemberton
According to an expert, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix series won’t succeed because they need to quit criticizing the royal family.
Phil Dampier discussed the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes’ impending documentaries on food and polo on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive broadcast.
When Prince Edward began producing numerous documentaries about his own family, the royal author asserted: Documentary production has never really gone well for the royals, especially Prince Edward. That was a disaster.
In order to avoid falling into the same trap, Harry needs to control himself. Hopefully, he will stop slagging at the royal family in his documentaries and go on to other topics.
Netflix said in September that its Polo docuseries, which explores the world of professional polo, would debut in December.
According to the streaming site, the program is “a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of the sport.”
Phil noted that while it’s reasonable that Prince Harry is experimenting, he asserts that the response to the polo documentary hasn’t been entirely positive.
“I don’t think it’s gone down that well,” he added of the Polo one.
The royal blogger went on to say: It seems that Netflix users are not happy because there isn’t much of the prince on the service.
Following the debut of her lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, which has allegedly completed filming but has not yet been given a release date, Meghan is scheduled to star in her cooking show.
Following her 2022 reality docuseries Harry & Meghan, which provided viewers with an inside glimpse into their lives, this is her second Netflix production.
We’ll probably see her in the kitchen preparing some of her favorite pasta meals or whatever, pouring out some of her favorite red wine, and doing this, that, and the other, Phil continued.
We’ll see how she handles that.
Phil went on: I’m not sure if it [Meghan’s food show] will be successful.
As noted by Matt Wilkinson, Royal Editor of The Sun, “I think the contrast is stark when you show off this wonderful lifestyle you have in California, cooking and attending polo events, compared to two hard-working royals meeting survivors of domestic violence and meeting people who have been living on the street and that’s who want to make a difference.”
Phil concurred: The difference is that they seem to be attempting to profit from it rather than carrying out good deeds, but that’s where we are, isn’t it, regrettably?
In December 2022, the Harry & Meghan documentary debuted on Netflix to a mixed reception.
Many fans objected to their criticism of the royal family, while others appreciated a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their lives.
The documentary series presently has a 43% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, despite becoming the most-watched show on Netflix in the UK in 2022.
Ahead of the show’s premiere next month, fans seem to have differing opinions about the Polo trailer.
One wrote: “Never thought I’d be excited to see a polo documentary.”
“I’ve never had interest in polo until now, I’ll try every effort to watch this,” another person remarked.
“I’m so excited,” a third person said.
However, another person added: “I watched the trailer for forty seconds before growing disinterested. “No thanks.”
“Tough pass! Anything with the word Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is immediately tossed int the trash compactor!”, agrees a second.
Another said: “It’s cheap reality rubbish that no one cares about, especially when people are facing such hardships.”
“Was the flash of cars designed to let the viewers know just how rich everyone is? I mean, it’s not car polo is it?,” agreed someone.
This comes as Prince Harry has also released a promo for his Invictus Games this week as he arrived in Vancouver, Canada on Sunday.
The duke appeared to let a famous American rapper ‘tattoo’ his neck in the jaw-dropping video.
TheDuke of Sussex, 40, grimaced as he sat in a chair while Jelly Roll looked deep in thought posed with an ink gun.
The pair performed the entertaining skit to promote Harry’s Invictus Games at East Side Ink, in New York City.
The dad-of-two got a fake tattoo which read “I am Jelly Roll” on the side of his neck for the hilarious promo.
It was posted on X by the Invictus Games’ official platform, with the caption: “The most… inking of a deal in Invictus Games history.
“Watch when Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex meets @JellyRoll615 at East Side Ink Tattoo.
“Don t miss this duo reuniting in Vancouver #IG25 Closing Ceremony Feb 16. Get tickets before they sell out.”
It comes after Harry made his second appearance inVancouveron Monday as the dad-of-two launched the Invictus Games school programme.
How Meghan and Harry are investing their Netflix millions
HARRY and Meghan have begun investing their Netflix millions in a property portfolio.
They havebought a new homeinPortugal, around the corner from Harry s cousinPrincess Eugenieand her husband.
But the Sussexes, who have been spending an increasing amount of time apart, do not plan to live in their new pad, The Sun understands.
It is not known if theproperty will be rented out, used for Airbnb-style holiday lets or used purely to park money.
But it is seen as the first step of putting earnings from their TV andbook dealsinto a global property empire.
They re being smart with their money, a source said.
They pocketed 75million from streaming giant Netflix where they laid into fellow royals in a six-part series.
MeanwhileHarry, whogot a 15million advancefor his autobiography Spare, also inherited 8million from the late Queen Mother after turning 40 in September.
Palace insiders have been concerned about what will happen whenthe Sussexesrun out of cash.
They have huge overheads, forking out a fortune on security in the US and for when Harry visits the UK.
And they are still paying a mortgage on the11million Montecito mansionthey bought after quitting as working royals in 2020.
Insiders say thePortugalhome will be part of a financial portfolio which will include more real estate.
He was seen beaming with pride at a game of sitting volleyball.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the duke gave a thumbs up to Canadian football fans as he made another public appearance without his wifeMeghan Markle.
Some commentators see this as the prince doing a “full relaunch” of his charity work and lately his wife Meghan is nowhere to be seen in public with him.
Sources inCaliforniasay the new “solo Harry” is his own idea.
Royal biographer Hugo Vickers, 72, told The Sunhow much happier he seems.
He said: “We’ve seen Prince Harry make several appearances without Meghan recently.
“Of course it’s what he does terribly well when he’s doing things with football, invictus games and sport.
“He’s much better at that frankly than when he’s sort of talking what I might call California speak, which seems to have been dictated to him by Meghan.

“So I commend every time he appears, I must say, and I’m sure he’s very popular.
“It’s a good thing that he does it so whether he’s sort of forging you know some sort of return to the old Harry.”
