Watch moment Egypt yacht survivor is RESCUED from air pocket on sunken ship after 36hrs…& says ‘It’s nice to be back’
After the tourist boat sank in the Red Sea, here is the moment one of the survivors of the capsized Egyptian yacht gets pulled from an air pocket.
After 36 hours of suffering after the Sea Story diving boat capsized on Monday, the appreciative man merely replied, “It’s nice to be back.”
He was one of the five survivors that the rescue crews discovered; seven others, including two British, are still unaccounted for.
Rescuers have been “intensifying efforts” to locate them, according to officials.
The rescued Belgian national, wrapped in a blanket, grinned and remarked, “It was verynice to be back, verynice.”
“Yes, I really appreciate it [the rescue efforts],” he continued.

“The reception on [the] boat with a warm shower, the dinner after and all the care they took because we were shaking with [the] cold and they warmed us up.”
According to authorities, two Belgians, a Swiss national, a Finnish tourist, and an Egyptian were saved by military divers.
Four bodies have been found in the submerged wreckage, and there are currently 33 survivors.
Two British nationals, two Polish tourists, and one Finnish vacationer are among the seven people who have gone missing.
On Monday, tragedy occurred as the Sea Story yacht, carrying 44 passengers, departed PortoGhalib Port for a multi-day diving expedition south towards Marsa Alam.
Before the boat abruptly vanished from radar and lost all communication, a crew member sent out a distress signal from the vessel at approximately 5:30 am local time.
It was completely dark when the deadly wave hit, according to one of the British tourists who were saved.
Witnesses reported witnessing a “abnormally large” wave strike the boat before it capsized, and the unfortunate yacht sank in under five minutes.
Those who survived claimed to have heard trapped vacationers yelling from their cabins.
“I was on the surface when things started to go wrong,” the visitor stated. I attempted to cling to something solid as I sensed the boat tilting suddenly, but the capsizing happened very quickly.
“I heard screams from insidethe cabins, but many were unable to get out because the doors were closed and the place was filled with water.”
The boat was last seen off Hurghada, according to the ship tracking website Marine Traffic.
Authorities in the area closed the city’s port and all activity on Sunday because of “badweatherconditions,” but the boat remained on the water.
Before Sea Story left, Egyptian weather forecasts said the Red Sea might see waves as high as 10 to 13 feet.
On board were two Americans, one Irishman, two Spaniards, two Belgians, four Germans, and a Finn.
In addition, there are divers from Egypt, Norway, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia, and China.
