Watch moment out of control £10million superyacht crashes into 225,000-ton cruise liner with sickening crunch
In the Bahamas, a ten million dollar luxury yacht lost control and collided with a massive cruise liner.
Shocked guests on board the enormous cruise ship captured the terrifying collision between the Aurora and Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas on camera in Nassau Harbor.
The 121-foot superyacht is shown in the video heading diagonally toward the 225,000-ton cruise liner, ramming hard into its side before scraping down the hull.
One of the lifeboats on Allure of the Seas was slammed by the top of the Aurora’s mast as it continued to strike, shattering its radar dome and scattering debris across the sun deck of the yacht.
On the yacht, a clearly upset crew member can be seen hurrying to lower the fenders in an attempt to lessen the damage.
The 2014 Nordhavn 120 explorer yacht Aurora is well-known for its opulent appearance and ability to cruise the world.

The yacht has a spacious interior capacity of 414 gross tons and can house up to 10 people in five cabins, including a private master suite on the main deck.
At $12.9 million (10 million), Aurora boasts sophisticated furnishings, a skylounge with an 80-inch TV, and outside areas like a jacuzzi on the flybridge. It was constructed with comfort and security in mind.
The situation was characterized by witnesses as chaotic and strange.
As it entered the port, it was approximately a third of the way past the cruise ship when it abruptly veered right and continued to approach, Dayanni Bhagwandin, one of the people who recorded the collision, told 7 News Miami.
“I heard the hit so loudly that I reached for my phone.
During a four-day voyage to the Bahamas, the 362-meter-long Allure of the Seas, which could accommodate up to 6,800 guests and staff, was docked.
The opposite-side passengers were totally unaware of the incident until the captain’s announcement, whereas the port-side passengers saw it happen.
After a 40-minute delay, the cruise ship left Nassau with little damage from the collision.
However, the 414-ton Aurora was severely damaged, losing its radar and antenna mast.
Although the cause of the crash is yet unknown, analysts believe Aurora may have had a mechanical failure.
Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries.
The Nordhavn 120 series yacht, which is regarded as a pocket explorer, is still berthed in Nassau for maintenance.
In the meantime, Allure of the Seas, dubbed one of the world’s most decorated cruise ships, proceeded unhindered. In the upcoming weeks, it will receive a $100 million renovation.
According to 7 News Miami, the crash is the third Royal Caribbean incident in recent months, after a person fell overboard during a trip with a Taylor Swift theme and another ship’s pipe burst.
It follows the sinking of a 14 million dollar superyacht due to a catastrophic fire that started on board.
Amazing images capture the ruin of the ostentatious ship, Atina, after it was lifted from the ocean floor.
Known for co-founding the grocery delivery app Getir in 2015, Serkan Boran Ili, the ship’s owner, had utilized the vessel for opulent Mediterranean trips.
The boat was docked in Sardinia, Italy’s Gulf of Olbia, and the Turkish businessman was on board with pals when the tragedy occurred.
Port authorities sent a tugboat and another vessel to try to assist as soon as the fire started.
In the harbor, known as the Billionaire’s Playground, the superyacht was drenched with an extinguisher as it sank, according to footage released by Italy’s coast guard.
However, attempts to save it failed, and the superyacht sank in shallow waters in a matter of hours.
