The chopper is credited by DETROIT (FOX 2) with apprehending seven individuals who were evading a stolen Kia on Saturday.

Seven suspects can be seen fleeing the purportedly stolen vehicle after they fled a traffic stop in a video that MSP uploaded.

According to MSP, the stolen vehicle was identified by a license plate reader. When troopers arrived and attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled.

Instead of pursuing on foot, troopers used a helicopter to follow the car as it began on Puritan and continued south onto Livernois.

Police claimed that the vehicle was driving along Livernois, running several red lights, and then turning into a neighborhood immediately south of the Davison expressway.

When the suspects finally came to a stop at a residence on Duane Street in Detroit, all seven of them leaped out, fled the vehicle, and sprinted across a few yards before entering the rear of a house on Elmhurst.

As MSP hovered overhead, you can see the suspects in the footage climbing through the house’s windows. However, troopers on the ground apprehended three suspects who fled the area.

All four of the other suspects were taken into custody.

First Lt. Mike Shaw remarked, “You don’t see seven suspects fleeing a stolen car every day.” “Once more, a handgun has been taken off the streets and a stolen car has been found thanks to technology and MSP aviation. Whether this group of individuals has committed any other crimes has not yet been established.
