Teams have resorted to utilizing machine guns as anti-air missiles are now a rare and costly weapon for the military.
The reason these Russian robots had proven harder to stop was outlined by this anti-drone crew.
The commander of the group stated: “Shahed drones are becoming more difficult to strike due to their modification and black paint job.
“Most of the attacks are happening at night, and it is very hard to spot a black cat in a black background.”
About half an hour before the flying war weapons arrive in Odesa, these personnel assist in tracking them using specialized software and tablets.
The crew came together in November 2023 after the attacks began in the port city in September 2022.

The unit’s primary responsibilities are training and waiting, but when they receive an alert command, they are prepared to defend the city.
“We know what to do,” stated another team member.
“We got together as a team since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and were helping the police and the military patrol the city, looking for Russian diversants and keep the order.”
In order to support their soldiers in this conflict, these valiant volunteers even finance their own fuel and equipment.
Another team member gave an explanation for their risky work.
“The sensation your team gets when they take down the drone is unmatched.
“The following day, my kids and I are strolling across the city. I see mothers and other kids. And knowing that we fired the drone that was traveling in that way makes me happy.
“I’m happy that we kept the kids safe. Nothing is more significant than this.

Drones have also been employed by Ukraine to defend themselves from Putin’s invasion.

A drone was shown on camera pursuing the Buk-M3 air defense system before launching two bombs at it.
The motorist fled the burning conflagration after a massive explosion.
According to Defense Express, Ukraine was able to destroy two Buk-M3 systems in October before this November strike.
