Weeks until new payment method for tolls takes effect – and it’ll be only way for carpoolers to have fee-free rides
Carpoolers will only be able to receive fee-free journeys when a NEW toll payment mechanism goes into force in a few weeks.
According to State Road and Tollway Authority officials, Peach Pass will soon receive a few updates to its website and app.
Peach Pass will simplify account management, information access, and provide faster solutions to commonly asked problems starting on December 17.
Drivers have been informed, however, that they will not be able to access information about their Peach Pass accounts for the five days prior to the system launch.
In order to achieve this, they request that consumers ensure their payment method is current by December 11.
Between the close of business on December 12 and December 16, Peach Pass, a transponder that enables vehicles to electronically pay tolls on toll highways in Georgia and numerous other states, reports that neither their website nor their mobile app will be available.

Users of the Peach Pass Go 2.0 mobile app should remove it from their phones and download the updated version from the app store of their choice on or after December 17.
Additionally, no account information will be accessible to customer support representatives.
Customers of SRTA will have a problem because they won’t be able to use the website or mobile app.
Additionally, Peach Pass Plus parking at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will no longer be available, although patrons will still be able to access the West Deck of the airport; alternative payment methods will be required.
Additionally, the new Peach Pass Go mobile app will no longer allow carpoolers to use the non-toll-mode declaration option in the I-85 fast lanes and should only be used for account services.
This means that Peach Pass carpools will only be able to sign up for toll-free rides via the Peach Pass Verify app.

Additionally, well-known car retailer Advance car Parts is laying off more than 140 employees as it closes dozens of sites in a single state.
Customers will also have to drive far to find a replacement store as a result of these closures.
This is a part of a nationwide closure campaign that will close four distribution sites and hundreds of retailers.
There are currently about 4,700 Advance Auto Parts locations across the country; 523 of those locations, along with 204 independent retailers, will be closed.
As part of a “strategic plan to improve business performance with a focus on core retail improvements,” the company initially announced the closure of stores on November 14.
