(FOX 2) Dearborn Heights, Mich. The holiday season is well underway, and many people are displaying their Christmas cheer. This includes a really jovial Dearborn Heights homeowner.

Welcome to Joyland! It has also been a generational endeavor for Dearborn Heights resident Mark Gray.

“Over 100 years in our family,” Gray stated. “This was initiated by my grandma, and it simply happened over time. Next came my aunt and mother.

He began adding new attractions after the initial Christmas only.

“Monorails, trains, rides, carnival rides,” he replied.

He no longer bothers removing it because it has become so large. However, how many separate parts are there?

“It’s probably thousands that I can think of, over thousands,” he stated.

Quite the expense throughout the years, but that doesn’t worry Mark.

“When you build something like this you don’t worry about how much you spend, you just do it,” he stated.

Because he enjoys it, he does it.

“If everyone smiled more in this world, we’d be doing a lot better,” he stated. “Merry Christmas, happy New Year, and joy to the world.”
