What shock Andrew Tate house arrest release means for disgraced influencer after latest blow to Romania sex crime probe
DISGRACED Now that he is no longer under house arrest, Andrew Tate can travel anywhere in Romania, but what does the unexpected ruling really mean?
Along with brother Tristan, Andrew, 38, is still being investigated for serious rape and trafficking crimes.
A representative for the former kickboxer said today that he is largely free after being imprisoned in his house for the previous five months.
According to the provisions of the significant court ruling, Andrew is required to remain in Romania on probation under judicial supervision.
As the trial goes on, he is also prohibited from contacting any witnesses or suspects and is required to check in with police on a regular basis.
The brothers have always refuted the accusations made against them, and Andrew has characterized the case as a “set-up”.

Andrew Tate FREED from house arrest as sex crimes probe hangs by a thread
The Brit-born American, however, is jubilantly enjoying the first triumph after the house arrest was lifted.
Andrew wrote on X in reaction to The Sun’s breaking story: “Hangs by a thread.” It’s already over.
Prior to asserting: “MATRIX ATTACK.”
His happiness is a source of apolice in Romania. According to The Sun Online, the case seems to be “sinking” altogether.
According to them, the Tate case might be the “most delicate in the last decade” for the DIICOT (Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism).
A Romanian government organization called DIICOT specializes in high-profile criminal cases like the Tate case.
Despite having more than 10 million social media followers, Andrew frequently publishes and comments on contentious topics.
Much of the content is regarded as extremely misogynistic and is perceived by some as encouraging violence against women, even though it masquerades as lifestyle advice.
His influence among adolescents and young men has grown alarmingly; one UK MP even claimed that he was “brainwashing” them.
According to the police source, DIICOT faces a direct challenge as a result of this influence because his notoriety presents an issue that is uncommon in a Bucharest court.
It is an important case, and its collapse would be devastating.
“Many people expected that the prosecutors had solid evidence against Tate brothers and a very solid case, but for the moment the case is somehow sinking,” the informant stated.
“The validity of the evidence acquired by the prosecutors in the Tate brothers dossier is substantially called into doubt by these judicial decisions.
“It is a crucial case and if it collapses, it will be a major blow.”
Prosecutors maintain that they have a solid case against Andrew and Tristan in spite of the concerns.
With DIICOT having 48 hours to file an appeal, the judges’ decision regarding house arrest in Bucharest is still pending.
They have not yet released an official comment since the decision was rendered earlier today, including whether they intend to file an appeal.
Andrew can be put under house arrest once more if the appeal is granted.
When Andrew and his brother Tristan were sensationally arrested by police in December 2022, the legal process got underway.
Prosecutors opened a second criminal investigation against the Tate brothers and four other people.
It included claims of money laundering, sexual relations with a juvenile, and child trafficking.
In August, they were placed under home arrest after serving three months in jail.
Later, police limited their movement to the city of Bucharest and the neighboring county of Ilfov before expanding it throughout Romania.
Andrew is still dealing with the accusations against him, which he refutes, despite being placed under court oversight.
Should a court in the future concur with their conclusions, the case is expected to proceed with DIICOT still requesting prison time.
dangling by a thread. It’s already finished.
The Tate brothers’ second recent win is Andrew’s home arrest decision.
Back in December, an appeals court decided that the brothers would no longer be put on trial for human trafficking.
Tristan and Andrew were charged with organizing a group to sexually exploit women and trafficking in human beings.
They also refute these accusations.
For the second time, the Court of Appeals in Bucharest ruled that the case could not proceed in its existing form and returned it to prosecutors.
It is now up to the prosecutors to determine whether to alter the charges or present fresh evidence to support them.
