What’s The Biggest Loss – Wanted Suspect Involved in Stolen Car Chase Causes Collision, CMPD Confirms
After a police pursuit on Friday afternoon, a suspect who the police say is wanted for many offenses was taken into custody.
Just before 12:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers attempted to pull over a stolen vehicle close to Reames Road in north Charlotte. The driver of it drove off, refusing to stop.
The suspect struck someone’s automobile close to the intersection of I-77 South and Morehead Street while police pursued the vehicle along Interstate 77. Per CMPD, no one was injured in the collision.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom recorded the suspect during the pursuit as he swerved into oncoming traffic to pass another vehicle. He kept driving recklessly through the area of Revolution Park, even going onto the wrong side of the roadway before turning down a side street.
The suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on Caronia Street close to Reid Avenue in west Charlotte about 12:40 p.m., ending the chase.
In a garden, Chopper 9 Skyzoom recorded his arrest. Joe Bruno of Channel 9 was informed by neighbors that they witnessed the entire event. After escorting a woman from the house to safety, police proceeded inside and let a K-9 out into the woman’s backyard.

James Juice remarked, “It’s crazy, man, I almost felt like I was going to die.” “Dude, driving that way is just absurd. We have children and other things.
Juice, who resides close by, witnessed the culprit flee and then be apprehended. He’s relieved that nobody was harmed and hopes the arrested man would take this as a wake-up call.
He remarked, “I just hate it for the young fellow.” “All I can hope for is that he turns around and is right.”
The suspect has not yet been named by CMPD, but they claimed he was wanted in connection with other incidents, including assault with a deadly weapon. They intend to release additional details later on.
