Where to get a free turkey for Thanksgiving if you’re on a budget – and it’s not only at supermarkets

With all the holiday food to prepare, THANKSGIVING can be costly, but this year you don’t have to spend a fortune.

Free turkeys are being given away by a lot of supermarkets, organizations, and places of worship to help families celebrate without breaking the bank.

Americans are busy gathering items to prepare a festive meal in anticipation of Thanksgiving, which is less than a week away.

The list of traditional Thanksgiving foods seems to go on forever, ranging from cornbread and green beans to stuffing and mashed potatoes.

Naturally, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without a turkey or ham as the main course.

You might not have to spend a dollar on your turkey this year, even if the cost of preparing a Thanksgiving meal can mount up quickly.
