Neil’s stint at Fox
Neil was born in Westbury, New York, on September 22, 1958.
His father was a sales representative for a can business, while his mother was employed by the United Nations.
Neil was hired as a White House intern during the Carter administration, which influenced his political perspective.
After that, Neil worked as an anchor at CNBC before joining Fox News in 1996.

In 2019, Cavuto famously criticized Donald Trump after the president expressed his dissatisfaction with Fox News’ coverage.

Neil’s health battle
For the majority of his career, Cavuto has battled health problems in spite of his busy schedule.
In 1987, he received a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, an immune system-related illness, for which he received chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Because of his health issues, Neil is a vocal supporter of the value of vaccinations.
Neil feels that receiving the vaccination saved his life after he contracted COVID-19.
“With all of my medical problems, this would have been a much more serious situation if I hadn’t been vaccinated,” he stated.
“It’s not, because I did and I’m surviving this because I did.”
Neil’s love life
On October 15, 1983, Neil wed Mary Fulling, whom he supposedly met at Saint Bonaventure University.
The couple resides in Mendham Borough, New Jersey, and together they have three children.
Neil has been outspoken about how his wife’s encouragement got him through his medical issues.
“I joke with her that I use the illness to get out of doing chores around the house or putting out the garbage,” he said.

Neil’s departure from Fox
Neil declared his intention to leave Fox News on December 19, 2024.
He stated that he has “been planning this day for some time” to the audience.
Prior to his leaving, Fox News released a statement thanking him for his three decades of service.
