Who is Keisha Lance Bottoms?

From 2018 to 2022, Keisha Lance Bottoms, an American lawyer, politician, and political analyst, was the 60th mayor of Atlanta, Georgia.

She is the daughter of R&B singer-songwriter Major Lance and was born on January 18, 1970, in Atlanta.

Keisha met Derek W. Bottoms during their freshman year at Georgia State University College of Law in 1991, and the two are now married.

They were married at Atlanta’s Ben Hill United Methodist Church three years later.

Who are Keisha Lance Bottoms’ children?

She finished her term as mayor in January 2022 after deciding not to seek reelection in 2021.

The former mayor of Atlanta declared on her X/Twitter account in February 2022 that she would be joining CNN as a political analyst.

From June 2022 until February 2023, she served as the director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and a senior advisor to the Biden administration after leaving office.

On July 14, 2023, former President Biden appointed Keisha to the President’s Export Council (PEC).

More than a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration are being actively identified and removed by my Presidential Personnel Office because they do not share our objective to Make America Great Again.

In the United States, the PEC is the main national advisory body for foreign commerce.

Newly elected President Donald Trump stated on January 21, 2025, that Keisha Lance Bottoms and four other top officials selected by his predecessor had been fired.

“Our first day in the White House is not over yet!” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, to break the news.

“More than a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration who do not share our objective to Make America Great Again are being actively identified and removed by my Presidential Personnel Office.
