Kohlhepp s first major crime
Kristie Granado was abducted by Kohlhepp in Tempe, Arizona, on November 25, 1986.
He assaulted her at his own house after threatening her with a gun.
Then, when Kristie was fourteen, Kohlhepp walked her home and threatened to destroy her family if she told anybody about his crime.
However, Kohlhepp was arrested after Kristie went to the police.
He was accused of perpetrating a serious crime against children, sexual assault, and kidnapping.
Ultimately, the other accusations were withdrawn after Kohlhepp entered a guilty plea to the first one.
Prior to receiving a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, he was placed on the sex offender’s register and given a fifteen-year prison sentence.
Career success
Kohlhepp was freed from prison in 2001 after serving 14 years, and he relocated to South Carolina.
After lying about his felony charge to obtain a real estate license, he gradually started to establish a career.
The kidnapper even obtained a private aviation license and quickly rose to the top of the Carolina region’s sales charts.
Additionally, he was able to purchase firearms with the assistance of Dustan Lawson, who purchased five silencers and twelve firearms for Kohlhepp.
Kohlhepp s murder rampage
Four persons were discovered dead inside a Chesnee motorcycle store by a customer on November 6, 2006.
The attack’s perpetrator, Kohlhepp, was unknown to the authorities at the time.
The mechanic, his mother, the shop’s service manager, and the manager of the shop were named as the victims.
They had all been shot to death.
Kala Brown and her boyfriend Charles David Carver vanished from one of Kohlhepp’s residences on August 31, 2016, after several years had passed.
When strange posts started to surface on Charles’ Facebook account, raising suspicions that someone might be impersonating him, their disappearance made global headlines.
When police found Kala in a metal storage container close to the property on November 3, 2016, they were able to rescue her.
According to her, she saw Kohlhepp shoot her lover because he was upset with her.
After Kohlhepp was arrested on November 6, two more remains were found on his farm.
They were recognized as Meagan Leigh McCraw-Coxie and her husband, Johnny Joe Coxie.
Kohlhepp s twisted Amazon account
Kohlhepp admitted to the assault at the motorcycle shop and the killings of the Coxies.
Following an inquiry, a number of ominous Amazon reviews that the murderer had placed were discovered.
Under the username me, he frequently posted evaluations for items like tasers, shovels, padlocks, and gun accessories.
Strange jokes were common in the reviews.
A padlock review stated: “Solid locks.. have 5 on a shipping container.. won’t stop them.. but sure will slow them down til they are too old to care.”
The user was identified as Todd Kohlhepp on the account’s wishlist, which allowed it to be connected to the murderer.
The killer faces justice
Charles, the Coxies, and the employees of the motorcycle shop were among his victims, Kohlhepp told his mother after his incarceration.
He said, “You do not have enough fingers,” in response to her question regarding the precise number of individuals he had killed.
The murderer entered a guilty plea to seven murder charges, two kidnapping charges, and one criminal sexual assault charge on May 26, 2027.
After a plea deal spared him from the death penalty, he was given seven consecutive life terms without the chance of parole.
Holly Eudy, who claimed to be unaware of what was actually going on, was having an affair with Kohlhepp during his criminal rampage.
Rather, she just sensed that something wasn’t quite right.
