DETROIT (FOX 2):A bout of snow is expected to hit southeast Michigan this afternoon, prompting the issuance of a Winter Weather Advisory.
This afternoon, snow starts to fall, lasts through the evening, and then tapers off overnight. In the afternoon, there will be a little snow at first, then more.
Observation:
From Friday at 1 p.m. to Saturday at 1 a.m., the advisory will be in force. Friday between 2 and 9 p.m. is predicted to see the most snowfall.
It is anticipated that totals will be between two and three inches, with some regions—particularly those in the north and west—seeing slightly higher totals.
Even if it’s not much, it’s worth mentioning considering how little snow we’ve received this season.
The region typically receives more than twice as much snow as it did this winter.
Later on Sunday or early on Monday, another system brings some light snow to the Great Lakes.
Meanwhile, there is no significant warm-up in sight, and the cold persists. For the foreseeable future, temperatures will continue to be below normal.
