Woman left lot with used car only for ‘unsafe’ light to come on – she asked for money back but was given 3-word reply

A few hours after purchasing a secondhand car from a dealership, a woman found a concerning issue with it.

However, when she requested her money back, she received a brusque response.

Adriana Parks, who picked up a 2015 Chevrolet Impala from Certified Motors in Mableton, Georgia, stated in a recent Channel 2 ActionNews report: I took the car off the property. The check engine light appeared a few hours later.

She took the car home after going back to the dealer and being informed that the problems had been fixed, but the warning light reappeared.

Hours later, the check engine light returned, she added. I informed him that I needed my money returned. Driving this car makes me feel unsafe.

Parks was shocked to learn that all sales were final.

She took the vehicle to Cooper Lake Automotive to have technician Bill Rimmer inspect it with assistance from Channel 2 Action News.

Following his examination, Rimmer informed her that the battery was poor and that the automobile was having problems.

Overall, he said, the automobile was safe, but she wouldn’t be able to pass emissions because of the check engine light.

“If we clear this code, it will have a pending code if we drive it around the block,” Rimmer explained. “You can’t have any pending codes to pass the test.”

After the car actually did this, Rimmer said: We called Certified Motors once more and they promised to fix the problem.

Later, Channel 2 Action News found out that the state attorney general is currently looking into Certified Motors, which has subsequently rebranded itself as Automotive One LLC.

Parks was compelled to return the Impala since she was unable to pay for the car’s insurance and maintenance.

This comes after another woman’s insurer refused to pay her a dime when her car was totaled, leaving her to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket.
