World’s biggest ‘supergiant’ gold deposit worth £60bn found with 1,000 tonnes of metal…enough for 500MILLION rings

China has found the world’s largest gold trove, valued at an astounding 63 billion dollars.

According to geologists, a supergiant deposit may contain over 1,000 tonnes of the precious metal, which would be sufficient to create 500 million rings.

The Wangu gold deposit in China’s central Hunan province is where the startling discovery was made.

Under the farms in Pingjiang County, more than 40 veins—long, narrow holes in rocks that contain gold—were discovered.

After drilling, it was discovered that almost 300 tons of the valuable metal were only 2,000 meters underground in the veins.

According to official media, scientists from Hunan Province’s Geological Bureau predicted using 3D modeling that the veins might contain an additional 700 tonnes of gold and reach a depth of 3,000 meters.

Hundreds of millions of rings might be made from this massive pot of gold.

A tonne of gold weighs one million kilos, whereas the typical gold band weighs around two grams.

Thus, 500 million gold rings might be produced from the massive 1,000 tonnes of gold, which would weigh one billion grams.

The richness of this discovery was disclosed by geologist Chen Rulin.

Numerous drilled rock cores revealed visible gold, he claimed.

The valuable metal was located on the edge of the site, and Rulin said there was still more gold to be found.

In addition to having a lot of gold, this hoard is also rich in terms of type.

According to test results from the deposit, there are around 138 grams of pure gold in every tonne of ore on the site.

This is significantly more than the eight grams per tonne minimum threshold for premium gold.

The discovery was made when the margin of the gold deposit was drilled, according to GBHP.

This implies that future searches may turn up much more gold than anticipated.

Chinese officials have not yet disclosed plans to develop the lucrative property.

The Xiling gold mine in the eastern Shandong Province was the largest location in the nation prior to this discovery.

There are over 600 million tons of the precious metal at this location.

With around 929 tons of metal, the South Deep mine in South Africa is currently the biggest mine in the world.
