Xbox players can grab a huge nine free games after months of lacklustre lineups

After significant revisions to the subscription program, XBOX Game Pass has been in a bit of a rut for the past six months.

In addition to raising all of their prices, Game Pass for Console was renamed Xbox Game Pass Standard.

Online capability is included in Standard, however access to newer releases was taken away, resulting in the removal of more than 40 games from the Game Pass mid-price category.

Some of these games are gradually making their way back to Standard, and some new ones are even joining the service this month.

In contrast to how Xbox has been managing the category for the last six months, four titles will be added to Standard this month.

At the same time as they are added to Ultimate, Gigantic: Rampage Edition, Starbound, Shady Part of Me, and Far Cry New Dawn will be released on Standard.
