Homestead Man Arrested in Connection With Key Largo Robbery of Teen’s $3K Jewelry
Monroe County, Florida – Deputies claim that a 20-year-old Homestead resident stole $3,200 worth of jewelry from a 14-year-old child in Key Largo last year. The man was taken into custody on Friday.
Shayvon Cortavius Givens is charged with violence, grand theft, and robbery, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s spokesperson Adam Linhardt.

According to Linhardt, during a robbery in June 2023, Givens repeatedly hit the victim in the face before taking his jewelry.

Givens was taken into custody on Thursday after authorities confirmed they had secured an arrest warrant.
