Orange County ATV Collision Results in One Death, FHP Investigation Ongoing

DEBARYLIFE – The Florida Highway Patrol reports that an ATV-driving 48-year-old man died in a Sunday afternoon crash near Hiawassee, Orange County.

According to FHP, the 48-year-old lost control of the ATV just after 3 p.m. on Sunday while traveling north on Bryson Drive north of Harwick Drive. He then collided with a mailbox and a fire hydrant.

According to FHP, the automobile kept going and eventually struck an abandoned parked car in a residential driveway before being flung from the ATV.

According to FHP, after being brought to Orlando Regional Medical Center, he passed away.

A roadblock was erected nearby, and the collision is still being investigated.
