Missing Woman’s Case Turns Homicide Investigation, What Happened With Tracy Scanlon? 

A 54-year-old woman who went missing in Dauphin County is thought to have died in a homicide, authorities said Friday.

Susquehanna Township Police are investigating the disappearance of Tracy Scanlon of Allegheny County, who was last seen leaving a Dauphin County wine and liquor store on Union Deposit Road in late February. According to authorities, she has not communicated with any family members or friends since then. According to authorities, Scanlon had been temporarily residing with an acquaintance in the 3300 block of Union Deposit Road.

Police could not explain why they are now labeling the case a homicide when the woman is still missing.

Susquehanna Township police are cooperating with Allegheny County law enforcement agencies. Police stated that the investigation is being conducted in Dauphin County, implying that any crimes committed occurred there.

Scanlon, also known as Tracy Zalenski, was first reported missing to the Millvale Police Department in Allegheny County earlier this year. Police later learned that she had traveled to Dauphin County.

According to police, Scanlon left Allegheny County on February 7 for the Harrisburg region, intending to return to Pittsburgh on March 1. No one has spoken to her since February 20.
