New Alarming Now! Miami Mother Accused Of Neglect As Toddlers Left Unattended

DEBARYLIFE – Police in Miami stated on Thursday that a mother was charged with child neglect after it was alleged that her little children were left alone in a condominium building.

The 3-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son of Regina Mukoseeva, 35, are said to have been abandoned in The Madison Condominiums. A neighbor saw the kids by themselves and called the police, according to Local 10 News.

Upon attempting to contact Mukoseeva, police claimed to have located her at her eighth-floor apartment. They subsequently saw security footage, which showed her departing in an elevator with the oldest child.

A man was finally seen following the 2-year-old out of the Conway while the child was discovered hitting buttons in a garage elevator at random. The child went back to the garage elevator after being let to walk alone and was discovered sobbing there.

A cleaning staff member eventually took the toddler to the property manager’s office by 7:55 a.m. when security guards at the complex interfered. Police allegations were corroborated by the property manager, Maria Herrera, who told them that Mukoseeva’s daughter had answered the door and told her that her mother was dropping off a sister at school.

Mukoseeva is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, per prison records, and is facing allegations of two counts of child maltreatment without serious bodily harm.

Mukoseeva voluntarily spoke without legal representation when questioned by police at the main station of the Miami Police Department while her kids were present. She informed investigators that she often cautioned them about staying off the balcony and that she only went outside “to throw out trash or get the mail from downstairs,” but that both of the children were ill with symptoms of vomiting and fever, according to the authorities, Local 10 News reported.
