Tragic Incident: NJ Woman Arrested in Suspected Overdose Fatality of 12-Year-Old
DEBARYLIFE – After a 12-year-old girl was discovered unconscious in a New Jersey house on Saturday afternoon, an arrest has been made.
On suspicion of posing a risk to a child’s welfare, possessing a controlled substance, and having drug paraphernalia, Frances Caso, 48, was placed under arrest.
Following a 911 call, Fort Lee Police Department officers arrived at a Maple Street residence at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Inside the house, they discovered the girl unconscious.
Day after day, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office reported signs of “a possible drug overdose.”

After being brought to Hackensack University Medical Center, staff members declared her deceased.
Authorities withheld further information regarding the occurrence. The Fort Lee Police Department and the prosecutor’s office are still looking into the matter.
