19-Year-Old Atlanta Woman ARRESTED for STEALING and ALTERING Checks in Auburn
AUBURN, Ala.– According to the Auburn Police Department (APD), a lady who was 19 years old and from Atlanta, Georgia was taken into custody after an investigation revealed that she had stolen checks.
Miranda Lauren Masone was taken into custody on May 26 by the Auburn Police Department, with assistance from the College Park Police Department. She was charged with various felonies, including identity theft and theft of property in the second degree.

Masone was taken into custody by the authorities after the APD received a report on January 2 regarding counterfeit checks. An individual who filed a complaint with the Auburn Police Department stated that many checks were sent to recipients in the month of December of the previous year. According to the authorities, the checks were taken, altered, and placed into numerous bank accounts while they were in transit.
Following further investigation, the police department was able to secure arrest warrants for Masone, who was eventually identified as a suspect by the police. In Georgia, Masone was located and taken into custody by officers from the College Park Police Department.

Masone was taken to the Auburn Police Department on Sunday, according to the Auburn Police Department. She was then put into the Lee County Jail, where she is currently being held on a bond of $8,000.
