DEBARYLIFE – As Durham Police reported on Wednesday, a suspect wanted concerning an April shooting there was taken into custody in Washington, DC.
On May 24, Osman Calderon-Juarez, 27, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals, according to DPD.
He was sought after concerning the shooting on Marne Avenue on April 21.
The walk-in gunshot wound at Duke University Hospital was the reason for the officers’ response that day, just before 5:45 a.m.

It was later discovered by investigators that the shooting took place in front of a house in the 1300 block of Marne Avenue.
On April 23, authorities accused Calderon-Juarez of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, serious harm, and felon in possession of a handgun.

He was being jailed on a $1 million secured bond at the Durham County Jail.
