‘Alert!’ Intersection Of I-95, I-395, And Dolphin Expressway Faces Road Closures
Miami – The large arches of the new trademark bridge are beginning to take shape if you’ve lately visited downtown Miami.
The Florida Department of Transportation claims that this project would result in significant improvements to transportation; however, prior to that, there will be road closures for everyone to allow staff to complete their job.
As drivers reroute through Little Havana, it is anticipated that the nightly road closures may cause traffic congestion.
“We will have to close State Road 836 at 17th Avenue,” FDOT official Oscar Gonzalez stated.
From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m., the eastbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway will be blocked until they reach I-95.

After that, they’ll close every night until May 24 and reopen on weekdays at 5:30 a.m.
“Three of Miami-Dade County’s busiest corridors are involved,” Gonzalez stated.
At the intersection of State Road 836, I-95, and I-395, there are about 450 thousand vehicle journeys made each day.
For our neighborhood, our drivers, and our inhabitants, this initiative represents a significant improvement, according to Gonzalez.
To install new bridge supports on State Road 836, the closures are necessary.
As part of the flagship bridge project, it has a whole second level to the Dolphin Expressway and a completely new I-395.
“It is possible for people to sign up for these lane closure alerts, so they can receive them directly in their inbox and make appropriate plans before they leave for the trip,” Gonzalez explained.
For the next three months, a lot more road closures are anticipated as part of the project.
