Biden Campaign Rolls Out Race-Baiting Ads Against Trump in New York Ahead of Bronx Event
DEBARYLIFE – Ahead of his event in the Bronx on Thursday, President Biden’s team released race-baiting attack advertisements in New York portraying former President Donald Trump as anti-black.
The historically deep blue borough will provide Trump with an opportunity to court voters who identify as black and Hispanic, who make up a sizable portion of the borough’s population.
The Biden campaign moved quickly to take the offensive, starting with a radio and TV blitz in advance of the 6 p.m. rally in Crotona Park.
The campaign focused on the former president’s remarks regarding the “Central Park Five” case, in which five black teenagers were wrongfully convicted of raping and beating a woman in a New York park.
The TV commercial, “Contempt,” features a snippet of Trump’s 1989 conversation with real estate mogul Larry King, in which he states of the teenagers, “Of course I hate these people.”
“Bring Back The Death Penalty” full-page advertisements were also placed by Trump at the time in a number of Big Apple newspapers. Return Our Police!
For the Biden campaign’s blitz, Yusef Salaam, a current councilman in New York City and one of the “Central Park Five” who were cleared, also sent a written statement.
“We firmly oppose Mr. Trump and his campaign for office today, and we point our fingers back at him.” Salaam stated, “My voice was the one thing I would not let be taken away from me throughout my wrongful conviction.”

“I implore the Black and Brown communities across the nation to participate in this election. We have a voice, and our votes matter. In order to make sure that a man like Donald Trump never enters the White House again, we must unite. It is essential to the future of our country, our children’s future, and our own.
The advertisement further asserts that Trump “stood with violent white supremacists” in Charlottesville, discriminated against black families in the 1970s, and promised to become a “dictator” if reelected.
Targeting zip codes in the Bronx and New York, the 30-second commercial will also run in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Atlanta and Macon, Georgia; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Detroit, Michigan.
Additionally, Trump has been performing incredibly well among Hispanic and Black voters, which coincides with the assault campaign.
A recent poll indicates that black people favor the former president up to 23%, which is the highest percentage of support for a Republican candidate since the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

With a 60-second radio spot that shows a black Trump canvasser changing his mind to support Biden after learning about Trump’s record with black Americans, Biden’s team is also aiming to appeal to black voters in battleground states.
According to Trump’s campaign, Biden’s staff released the attack commercials because they were “panicking” that the president was losing support from African Americans.
“Biden’s awful policies that are harming our community are not addressed in this ad, which is just another cheesy attempt by the Biden team to manipulate Black people.
Black voters aren’t buying what Biden is selling, and President Trump is getting record-high support from them in the polls—something we haven’t seen in decades—which is why the Biden campaign is freaking out, according to a statement from Trump’s black media director, Janiyah Thomas.
The statement said, “We must not forget that Joe Biden was a key figure in passing the 1994 Crime Bill, which increased incarceration rates and harsh sentencing laws that disproportionately harmed Black communities.”
Furthermore, we can’t ignore the fact that Biden’s policies are making Black families less safe and more impoverished. Every poll shows that black voters, like all Americans, are in a worse situation now than they were under President Trump.
In the end, all publicly available data suggests that Black voters are shifting away from Biden and toward President Trump.
Additionally, the Trump team cited Biden’s past racist statements, which included calling a black voter “you ain’t black” if they chose not to support him over Trump.
