Couple Death! Arrest In Case Of Couple Shot While Asleep In Abandoned Miami-Dade Apartment
Miami-Dade County, Florida – Following the police’s claim that he shot a couple earlier this year as they were sleeping in an abandoned apartment in northwest Miami-Dade, a 29-year-old man was taken into custody on Thursday.
Jonathan Travon Williams, 29, of Miami, is accused of attempting first-degree murder and illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, according to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Miami-Dade police said that they responded to a shooting incident near the 6700 block of Northwest 26th Avenue just before one in the morning on January 6.
Officers said that they arrived to discover two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds: 30-year-old Johneisha Kelveisha Mabry and 25-year-old Isaac Patrick Hepburn.
Hepburn can be heard calling for help in an exclusive Ring camera video that Local 10 News was able to secure. Dial for help in an ambulance! Just before the police arrived, they shot my girlfriend and me.
According to the arrest report, Hepburn informed police that he had a previous fight with two guys at the flat, which resulted in one of those individuals—later identified by detectives as Williams—pulling a revolver and killing both Hepburn and his girlfriend.
According to the arrest report, Mabry was shot in the back and right arm, and Hepburn was wounded in the left hip and left arm.
Both victims, according to the authorities, were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where they received medical attention for their wounds.
According to police, they were sent to the hospital following the incident to interrogate Hepburn on audio.

Hepburn admitted to detectives that, before the event, he had a disagreement about “property” with another guy, according to the report.
Investigators claim that Williams and another person approached Hepburn and Mabry at the abandoned apartment building.
According to police, Williams shot the victims after the other man gave him the order to take a gold chain off of Hepburn’s neck.
According to detectives, Williams shot both victims many times before he and his accomplice left the area.
On January 11, Mabry told investigators that she knew Williams and his accomplice from her neighborhood.
Williams was recognized as the suspect by detectives because of a piece of anonymous information they received on March 23.
Williams was detained, according to court documents, after what the police said was another crime that happened in Miami-Dade County.
Detectives believe Williams confessed to them after being told his Miranda rights, however, the whole confession was completely suppressed from his arrest report.
Williams was previously accused of robbery with a lethal weapon in a different case, so authorities also confirmed that he was a convicted felon.
Williams is presently being held at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center, according to jail records as of Tuesday.
The reason behind the shooting is still unknown, and police have not disclosed any new arrests in the investigation.
