Pinecrest Police Issue Warning About ‘Armed And Dangerous’ Individual Involved in Neighborhood Shooting

PINECREST, Florida – Following the shooting of another man in a peaceful Pinecrest area, authorities are looking for an “armed and dangerous” suspect, they said on Tuesday.

It took place in the 8200 block of Southwest 128th Street on April 17. According to the police, 31-year-old Jefferey Chamorro, the suspect, was expected to turn himself in but chose not to.

Police claim that Chamorro set up the man because he was furious that his fiancée had met someone else.

According to Pinecrest police Chief Jason Cohen, “he sets up our victim to show up at this quiet street here in Pinecrest on the 17th, and he’s just sitting in his car outside the street waiting for who he thinks is the female to show up,” when our suspect pulls up next to him and attempts to kill him with five rounds fired through his vehicle into our victim’s vehicle. “In Pinecrest, we don’t get this material. This man needs to be taken off the road.

The victim’s automobile had several bullet holes from Chamorro’s gunfire, but none of them struck the man he was trying to kill, according to the police.

“He is very fortunate,” Cohen remarked. “Not one of those five rounds hit him, even though they all passed through the door and into the car’s cab.”

The public was advised by police to phone 911 instead of approaching Chamorro if they saw him.

Cohen said, “The longer you stay out there, the worse this gets for you.”
