Decoding The Evidence: Miami-Dade Toxicology Report As A Breakthrough In Mystery Case
Miami-Dade County, Florida – The medical examiner’s office, together with two police agencies, were collaborating to determine the cause of death of a guy.
According to sources with Local 10 News, a body discovered in a western Miami-Dade woodland preserve area may have been linked to a missing person’s case in Miami that was located farther east, even though a toxicology result was still pending on Saturday.
After a Dade police dog discovered the body just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, in an early stage of decomposition, Miami-Dade and Miami police officers collaborated north of Eighth Street and west of Southwest 137 Avenue.
Detectives acquainted with the search along the Tamiami Bike Trail region report that the white male, who was “lying supine on the ground,” appeared to be between thirty and forty years old. His body showed no signs of damage. He was only wearing sweatpants.
There were waiting detectives from the county and city cases. To find out the man’s cause of death, Dr. Nicholas Barna, the medical examiner, decided on Thursday that toxicology was necessary.
Detectives urged anyone with knowledge regarding this or any other crime to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
