Domestic Violence Tragedy: Gunman, 35, Kills Girlfriend, 29, Before Taking Own Life

DEBARYLIFE – In a murder-suicide that his mother claimed she saw on Monday, a Brooklyn man shot his girlfriend before killing himself following a fight over money and their children.

Teddy Knight, 35, and Tanezia Blackwood, 29, had a history of conflict that culminated in death late in the morning when Knight produced a revolver inside the couple’s Midwood apartment, as his mother Norma Knight told The Post over the phone.

The couple’s apartment on Avenue I and Ocean Avenue is shared by Norma, 65, who stated, “He went somewhere in the cupboard and I saw he took out a gun and he started shooting her.” “After firing two shots at her, she fell to the ground, and he stomped on her face.”

Then, according to her stunned mother, he shot himself in broad daylight.

Near a kitchen, the two deceased victims with gunshot wounds to the head were discovered by responding police officers at 10:10 a.m., according to the authorities.

Norma claimed that the couple’s last fight started overnight and kept her up at night.
