Florida Shooting Update: 16-Year-Old In Custody After NFL Player Among Victims
DEBARYLIFE — According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, a 16-year-old boy is in custody after shooting ten individuals following an incident that escalated into a shooting at a location close to Sanford, Florida, early on Sunday. One of the casualties was an NFL player.
Sheriff’s deputies said that a sizable gathering at Cabana Live led police to arrive.
The team said that Tank Dell, a wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the NFL, was one of the casualties of the shooting. The team said he was checked up at a nearby hospital and then released.
Following midnight, the police heard gunfire coming from behind the structure. Upon further investigation, they discovered that while the gunfire had scattered the crowd, ten persons had just minor injuries.
The sheriff’s office stated that police detained 16-year-old Christopher Bouie Jr. in a juvenile detention facility after identifying him as the suspect.
The incident began as a verbal argument but turned confrontational, according to investigators.

According to the police report for Bouie, the teenager did not participate in the altercation at first, but he later “turned around and pulled out a black and silver handgun (9mm) and began shooting towards a crowd of people.”
The seriousness of the charges led local news outlets to choose to name Bouie while he was still a minor.
The allegations against Bouie, according to his arrest record, include “possession of a firearm by a minor, use and display of a firearm during a felony, firing a weapon on public property, and attempted homicide.”
According to the report, Bouie was disarmed nearly instantly by the officer who took him into custody. As to the report, multiple individuals who were shot by Bouie have declared their intention to file charges.
On social media, Cabana Live replied.
