Illegal Immigrant Charged With Sexually Abusing 12-year-old Girl in Iowa

An illegal immigrant from Honduras has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old child in Iowa.

It is the most recent case of a crime allegedly committed by an illegally present person in the country.

Junior Manuel Dubon Benitez, 18, has been charged with sexual abuse in the second degree, according to Iowa court documents acquired by Fox. The event allegedly took place in February and involved “sexual abuse upon Jane Doe, a 12-year-old child.” The Washington Examiner first reported the records, stating that Benitez pled guilty in Iowa District Court in Black Hawk County on May 14.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) informed Fox News Digital. Dubon Benitez is a Honduran national who entered illegally through Hidalgo, Texas, in April 2022. ICE stated that it has submitted a detainer with the prison, requesting that upon his release, he be turned over to the agency so that he can be placed in removal proceedings.

The allegations come amid an ongoing problem at the southern border, which has become one of the country’s most pressing political issues, owing to several high-profile crimes allegedly committed by illegal immigrants.

Last month, two Venezuelan illegal immigrants were charged with capital murder for the killing of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston. Authorities say she was “lured” under a bridge in Houston before being tied up and slain.

The arrests come the same week that an Ecuadorian national was arrested unlawfully in the United States for a broad daylight sex crime in which police said a man holding a machete raped a 13-year-old girl in a New York City park.

Police also revealed that an illegal alien from El Salvador had been apprehended in the murder of Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother of five. The crimes are part of a larger trend of illegal immigration-related criminality in the United States.

The matter was raised during the presidential debate last week, with former President Trump accusing Biden of the crimes.

“They are killing our people in New York, California, and every state in the Union because we no longer have boundaries. “Every state is now a border,” Trump declared. “And because of his foolish, insane, and very stupid policies, people are coming in and killing our citizens at unprecedented rates.

We call it migrant crime. I call it Biden’s migrant crime. They are killing our folks at a rate that we have never seen before.” Biden retorted, accusing Trump of undermining bipartisan reform efforts for political gain.

“This bipartisan agreement includes more fentanyl detection machines, more agents, and more people at the border. After we completed the deal, he went… He called his Republican colleagues and said, ‘Don’t do it. It’s going to hurt me politically.” He never said it wasn’t a good bill. It’s a very good bill.”
