KCFD Reacts to Kansas City House Fire Incident Sunday Morning, What Happened Next!
KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Early on Sunday morning, the Kansas City Fire Department was called to a house fire in the 2800 block of Oakley Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. This location is somewhat off of Interstate 70 and a few streets away from Blue Valley Park.
Heavy fire and smoke were coming from the one-and-a-half-story residence when the KCFD arrived at 5:50 a.m., according to the report. Two people were on top of the building. The third passenger managed to extricate himself, according to the crews who rescued the other two.
Emergency medical personnel assessed all three of the occupants at the scene, however, they all refused medical attention or hospitalization.
The blaze was contained at 6:03 a.m., according to KCFD, and the cause is still under investigation.
