Kent County Incident: Suspect Sustains Serious Injuries, Another Arrested After Chase
WYOMING, Michigan: Following a brief pursuit in Wyoming on Monday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, or KCSO, said that one individual had been apprehended and another had been transported to the hospital.
On Division Avenue close to 32nd St., deputies attempted to pull over a stolen car they believed may be linked to prior crimes in Kent County, but the driver did not stop, according to KCSO.
Following a brief pursuit, the car veered off the road and collided with parked empty cars. According to authorities, two people got out of the car while it was still moving and attempted to flee.

One of the suspects was seriously injured when one of the deputy’s cars struck him. Authorities said that the other suspect had been taken into custody.
In this event, the sheriff’s office received assistance from Michigan State Police.
