Murder Charges Filed! 21-Year-Old Gloucester TWP., NJ, Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting
A 21-year-old Gloucester Township resident has been charged with murder about last week’s deadly shooting in Camden County.

According to the prosecution, at approximately 5:30 on Tuesday, April 16, the Gloucester Township Police Department received a call about a shooting at a residence in the La Cascata subdivision off of Kelly Driver Road.
There, officers discovered shot 24-year-old Nasir Tart, who was declared dead at the scene a short while later.
Hasan Battie, 21, of Gloucester Township, was named as a suspect after a probe by investigators from the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
Battie was taken into custody in Camden on Monday by the U.S. Marshals Service’s New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

First-degree murder, unlawful possession of a weapon in the second degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon in the second degree are the charges against him.

The reason behind the shooting was not disclosed by the authorities.
In anticipation of a pretrial detention hearing, Battie is being housed at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
