Newark Police Report, Man Robbed at Gunpoint While Trying to Purchase Used Car
DEBARYLIFE – The public is asked to help Newark police identify the four individuals who were engaged in an armed robbery that occurred last Monday.
According to officials, the victim went to Avon Avenue to buy a car from a woman. The victim was allegedly told to wait for the automobile on Avon Avenue close to Jeliff Avenue.
The victim started to leave after growing suspicious, according to the police. This is when many people at the Pilgrim Baptist Village apartment complex allegedly approached the victim. One of the individuals who approached, according to the police, was waving a gun.
The group stole multiple items from the victim by going through her pockets.
A Black male who was last seen wearing a black sweatsuit with red and yellow accents is the initial suspect, according to the police.

The second suspect is a fair-skinned woman who was last seen sporting a gray shirt, dark pants, a black pullover, and black spectacles.
A Black male who was last seen wearing all-black apparel and black and yellow Jordan sneakers was the third suspect. The man with the gun was the fourth suspect. He had on a black ski mask and a gray sweatsuit.
