NYC Thief Chokes 6-Year-Old Girl, Steals Jewelry: Authorities
Authorities in Brooklyn claim that a guy choked a scared 6-year-old girl while robbing her and her sister of their mother’s birthday presents—gold necklaces.
The man who approached a 14-year-old girl and her younger sister on Wednesday at their apartment building near Eastern Parkway and Ralph Avenue in Crown Heights is the one depicted in the pictures released by the police on Saturday.
The older girl claimed that as she and her sister were on their way home from school, the man unexpectedly caught them in the cramped lobby of the building and demanded that the girls hand up their necklaces, which were their mother’s birthday presents.
The 14-year-old girl told ABC 7 that “the man grabbed me by the neck, and then my sister looked, and she started getting scared.” “I was short on time. I was unable to respond. My sister was screaming, and all I could do was stare at her.
According to the police, the man grabbed the elder sister’s jewelry and then fled the scene after strangling the 6-year-old girl with one hand while yanking off her necklace with the other.
