Supportive System! Chicago Police Department Seeks Public Help In Stabbing Case Investigation
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The weekend stabbing is still under investigation by Columbus police.
On Sunday night, the event took place close to Brown Street’s 100 block.
Lashawn Cunning, 47, was stabbed several times in the chest and body, according to the CPD.
To receive treatment, he was brought to the Baptist Golden Triangle. His condition has not been updated.
Bryan Moore, the public information officer, stated that not even the victim was speaking among the eyewitnesses.
Moore said that if the community wants crimes to be addressed promptly, then people need to speak up.

“Involving the public is beneficial. Participation from the public would speed up the investigation of crimes.
The task will still be completed, but it will be more difficult when incidents occur and people are reluctant to speak with the police.
Columbus is our favorite city, and we know you all feel the same way. We’ll need your assistance if you want these issues to be resolved more quickly, said Moore.
Although no arrests have been made, investigators do have a person of interest in the case.
