West Loop Alarm! Gunshot And Dual Robberies Occur In Rapid Sequence
Chicago — Overnight, two holdups were carried out in the West Loop by armed thieves who discharged at least one gunshot. The instances did not result in any reported injuries, despite taking place in an area that is frequently busy with weekend clubgoers.
Near the corner of Fulton and Justine streets, both holdups happened just after two in the morning.
Three men robbing a 22-year-old man on the corner reportedly had pistols with green lasers connected to them. They stole the victim’s belongings after firing one gunshot into his automobile.
At approximately the same time, a second 22-year-old guy was robbed at gunpoint at a parking lot located on the 1400 block of West Fulton by four armed individuals. This time, the bandits refrained from firing shots despite their threats to shoot him.
