Freestone County Authorities Arrest Two Women on Attempted MURDER and DRUG TRAFFICKING Charges
Freestone County deputies arrested two women after authorities say one of them shot at two males and discovered methamphetamine on the scene.
One lady was accused of two counts of attempted murder and manufacturing/delivering a restricted substance in punishment category 1 weighing more than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams.
A second lady was charged with manufacturing or delivering a restricted substance in punishment group 1 weighing more than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams.

On May 26, at about 6:00 a.m., deputies from the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting report at a residence on the county’s west side. When deputies got on the site, they discovered that two males had been fired at by a lady, with one of the guys running into the woods.
Authorities detained two ladies at the site to further investigate the incident and asked assistance from the Teague Volunteer Fire Department in locating the man who fled into the woods.
After interviewing with everyone on the scene, investigators claim they discovered evidence that a shooting occurred, such as bullet holes in the outer walls and bullet casings.
One of the ladies was eventually arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder. Authorities continued to inspect the site and reported discovering 137 grams (4.8 ounces) of liquid methamphetamine and 6 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

The second woman was arrested and charged with manufacturing or delivering a restricted substance in penalty group 1 weighing more than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams.
The woman who was initially arrested was charged with the same offense while in detention.
According to authorities, no one was wounded in the event.
