Tragic Collision: 15-year-old Celina Boy Dies After Mercer County Crash
A collision that occurred earlier this week in Mercer County resulted in injuries that ultimately proved fatal for a 15-year-old boy.
It was confirmed by Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey that Benjamin Ly, who was from Celina, passed away as a result of his injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
In a car driven by Wesley Greber, who is 16 years old and from Celina, Ly was a passenger.

During the afternoon on Monday, Greber and Ly were travelling west on State Route 29 when Greber crossed the centre line and collided with a semi that was travelling in the other way.
Ly was sent to Dayton Children’s Hospital, but he did not survive his stay there. Greber was taken to the emergency room at Mercer Health for medical attention. As of Monday evening, he was released, according to Grey.

As a result of the collision, Gurpreet Puaar, who is 36 years old and is from California, did not sustain any injuries.
Both Greber and Ly were students at Celina High School, according to the district’s confirmation statements.
The collision is still being looked at by authorities.
