Pennsylvania Man Faces Death Penalty in Triple Homicide Case, What Happened Next!

Fallsington, Pennsylvania — According to police in Pennsylvania, they are going to try to get the death sentence for a man who they say killed his stepmother, sister, and the mother of his children before driving off in a stolen car and being caught in New Jersey last month.

Authorities say Andre Gordon Jr. killed three people with gunfire on March 16 in the Levittown part of Falls Township and stole two cars in nearby suburban Philadelphia. This was his first court appearance in Pennsylvania since then.

Gordon was wearing an orange jumpsuit and had chains around his wrists and legs when he got to the magisterial district court, which is not far from where experts say the shootings happened.

When asked what he wanted to say, Gordon said in a low voice, “Pray, pray to God.”

During the preliminary arraignment, which lasted about 10 minutes, Judge John Galloway rejected Gordon’s request for bail and told him not to contact his minor children or other relatives who saw the crimes he is accused of. Gordon himself was not represented by a lawyer.

Later, outside of court, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn told reporters that she had decided to tell the court she was going to seek the death penalty because of the “multiple killings and grave risk to others.”

“The family gave us a chance to talk to them and find out what they thought,” she said. The result of this case will be decided by time. Although we had to certify before the official arraignment.

The 26-year-old Gordon waived an extradition hearing in New Jersey earlier Wednesday and was sent to authorities in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, according to prosecutors and a spokesman for the New Jersey court.

Gordon is accused of stealing a car in Trenton, New Jersey, early on March 16 and then going to Levittown in Falls Township, Pennsylvania.

His grandmother and sister were killed there, the Bucks County district attorney said. At a second home in Levittown, he killed the mother of his two children, according to the police. In addition, he is accused of hurting his grandchildren’s grandma by hitting her with a rifle.

According to the district attorney, Gordon’s stepmother Karen Gordon, 52, his sister Kera Gordon, 13, and his two-child mother Taylor Daniel, 25, were all killed. There were witnesses when Gordon shot his mother, according to the police.

After stealing a second car in Morrisville, Gordon went back to Trenton, according to the police. Authorities circled a house for hours because they thought he was inside, but Gordon got away before the cordon was put up. Unarmed, he was caught walking down a street a few blocks away and jailed.

According to officials, there is still no word on why the killings happened.

Senate President Josh Shapiro, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has said that he will not allow executions to happen while he is governor. He wants the lawmakers to work to end the practice. The state’s most recent killing happened in 1999.
